Weekend des Grands Amateurs
The Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux is organizing a weekend dedicated to all wine lovers. No need to be a trade professional: you can participate to an extraordinary tasting or more than 100 Grands Crus, be welcomed in the châteaux and share dinners with the owners of the properties. We will be waiting for you in Bordeaux on 05th and 06th June to share unforgettable moments in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards.
Tasting
Saturday 05th June 2010
10h30 am to 5pm
Hangar 14, Quai des Chartrons, 33000 Bordeaux, France
56 euros per person (+/- 81 dollars) (50% for students and wine professionals)
Over 100 prestigious estates will be pouring two vintages of their wine (the 2007 and another vintage between 1999 and 2006). This type of tasting, generally restricted to journalists, and the wine trade, will enable you to appreciate all the sublety of the Grands Crus of Bordeaux and discuss them with the people who make them.
Dinner -
Saturday 05th June 2010

Medoc, Pessac Léognan and Graves, Sauternes and Barsac, Saint-Emilion or Pomerol
135 euros per person (+/- 196 dollars) (including return coach trip)
Estate owners, members of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, will welcome you to a convivial dinner at their château, during which they will pour and comment on dry white, red and sweet white Grands Crus. Return transport is provided by coach between Bordeaux and dinner venues.
Special Party -
Saturday 05th June 2010
60 euros per person (+/- 86 dollars)
A special party will be organized in Bordeaux for the 18-35 years old, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Vineyard Tours -
Sunday 06th June 2010
90 euros per person (+/- 129 dollars) (tours, special tasting and lunch included)
Medoc, Saint Emilion, Graves and Sauternes regions
Many Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux member estates will welcome you on themed tours throughout the day.
