At our Reading store we are offering free tastings of 2 ports, Fonseca port and Taylor 10 year. For those of you who are curious about port and would like to learn more this is a great opportunity. Hope to see you there
Fonseca: vintage ports are marked by a style of great fruit richness, voluptuousness and firm tannic backbone. Their initial flavors of opulently concentrated black fruit and jammy spice evolve to reveal complex, silky impressions of dried currants, rose petal and dark chocolate with ending in a long, seductive finish.
Taylor 10 year
An exceptionally fine old tawny blend, aged for an average of 10 years in oak casks. Elegant and smooth, combining delicate wood notes and rich mellow fruit, it is bottled for immediate drinking. Excellent with soft cheeses such as brie; and a superb dessert wine, particularly with dishes made with coffee or almonds, Taylor 10 Year Old Tawny is delicious served lightly chilled at the end of the meal
