Created as a defining moment of Italian independence, Chianti was Italy's first great wine. Although raditionally a Sangiovese blend, modern times have permitted the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, which offers both a bolder style and more provacative flavors of pepper and raspberry.

So on the tenth we'll be comparing differernt Chiantis --from light to heavy!-- and discussing their  relative merits. Traditional versus modern: come taste and decide for yourself!
