Since his return from Burgundy in 1999, Josh Bergström has managed the Bergström estate vineyards, and the contracts between Bergström Winery and the dedicated growers, as well as being winemaker of all Bergström Wines. For Bergström it is the day-to-day contact and work with each grower and vineyard that offers the best education. He believes that Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling are personal and localized products best learned from the vineyards and soils where they grow. He continues to works closely with his team of farmers.

Bergström Winery believes that winemaking has got to be about vineyard expression! Winemaking is an agricultural pursuit and profession, first and foremost. The wine that you enjoy in your glass depends on a vineyard’s and a farmer’s performance in any given year, matched with the challenges put forth by Mother Nature.

Union Restaurant, located at 1400 First Avenue (at the corner of First and Union) in downtown Seattle, was opened in October 2003 by chef/owner Ethan Stowell. Union’s creative, elegant menu changes daily to reflect the freshest and most unique offerings available. Union maintains an award-winning wine list, which includes a cellar with over 200 premium wine selections to choose from. Union serves dinner Monday – Saturday from 5pm – 10pm.  A bar menu is offered between 5pm – 7pm and 10pm –12am.
