Bedell Cellars is calling all dog lovers to grab their pooch and come to a Dog Day Afternoon at Bedell Cellars on Friday, November 27th from 2 – 5 p.m.  The doggie friendly event will host several activities throughout the afternoon. A portion of the proceeds from the day’s events will be donated to the North Fork Animal Welfare League (www.nfawl.org) located in Southold.  Of course all dogs are welcome at the event, but must be on a leash. The schedule of events is as follows:

The Winery Dogs of New York Booksigning by author Marjorie Adams

Author Marjorie Adams will be signing copies of the new release “The Winery Dogs of New York.”  The book features photography of winery dogs of several vineyards of New York including six dogs of Bedell Cellars and Corey Creek Vineyards.  The book will be available for purchase for $36. 

 

Doggie Snack Bar by Dogtown

Local Southold retailer and doggie day care will offer a doggie snack bar featuring specialty baked goods for dogs as well as retail items for dogs.

 

Dog Photo Studio by Randee Daddonna

Professional photographer Randee Daddonna will be taking portrait style photos of pooches for holiday cards throughout the event.  Portraits will be posted on her website (www.randeedaddona.com) and available for purchase as holiday cards. 

 

Pooch Parade featuring Adoptable Dogs from the North Fork Animal Welfare League

At 3 p.m. a pooch parade featuring several adoptable dogs from the North Fork Animal Welfare League will parade throughout the vineyard seeking adopters.

 

Hot Dog Cart & Wine Tastings

A hot dog cart will be selling hot dogs throughout the event, for owners or dogs, and wine tastings will be available in the tasting room.
