Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project Dinner
November 21, 2009 (Sat)
from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Westport, MA
Cost: 70.00
Event ID #283257
Westport Rivers Winery and Buzzards Bay Brewing, both founded by the Russell family in 1990s, welcomed Pretty Things Beer to Westport this year. Dann Paquette, Pretty Things brewer, crafts his own line of small batch, spectacular artisanal beers right here at Buzzards Bay. According to foodandwine.com, “Paquette not only makes a damn good beer, but he is also doing it with a sense of humor.” Paquette will join guests for a beer and food pairing prepared by David Hernandez of Green Gal Catering, the chef behind this season’s wine dinners.
The night will start off with roasted local pumpkin bisque accompanied by Pretty Things’ flagship beer, Jack D'Or, an American take on the Belgian saison. Next up, braised rabbit ravioli served with Paquette’s Baby Tree, a Belgian-inspired dark beer brewed with dried plums. Pretty Things’ Babayaga Stout is the perfect match for a Wolfe’s Neck Farm ribeye with stout jus. Top it all off with poached pears and dark chocolate ganache served with Just Beer’s 1602 Colonial Porter.
The Harvest Beer Dinner will take place Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. at the Long Acre House, Westport Rivers’ wine, beer, and food education center. Tickets are $70 including tax.
