Wine OR Wine & Food

CELEBRATE NEW YEARS AT WILSON CREEK WINERY THIS YEAR!

If you have ever spent some time in New Orleans, you would know the excitement that leads up to Mardi Gras. This year’s New Year’s theme at the winery! New Years is a chance to let loose and celebrate the coming year’s hope of prosperity, good fortune and letting the good times roll! Bourbon Street (I mean the Champagne Ballroom) will be decorated in festive glittery gold, green and purple, which signifies power, faith and justice.  Guests will receive beads and feathered masks as party favors, as well as a meal with a New Orleans flair.

Tray passed appetizers including Frenched Chicken Drumettes with Bourbon Glaze and Shitake Mushroom Drops.  During the cocktail hour a New Orleans style Raw Seafood Bar will entice your senses with fresh shucked oyster on the half-shell, tuna tartar and house-cured salmon gravlax!  The first course of the obscenely risqué SIT DOWN meal is a “Deconstructed Gumbo” with dirty rice, prawn and andouille sausage; the second course an amazing delicious Poached pear, Belgian endive and cache with candied macadamia nuts and vanilla bean Petite Syrah Port Vinaigrette.  The featured course of the night is the Seared filet mignon with fois gras (a favorite of South), black truffles and zinfandel demi glace and baby rainbow carrots.  The Wilson Creek wine and champagne bar, featuring the famous Almond Champagne is of course included in your ticket.  The evening’s meal will finish off with a Dessert Buffet of assorted chocolate treats including Almond Champagne & Port “shots.”

Guests will dance the night away to the great sounds of “Audiocast”, voted best band in 2009 by the North County Times Readers Choice Poll. This rock’n six piece band with vocalist will keep you dancing all night long! “No sleepy music here” boasted Bill Wilson,” This is New Year’s Eve!”

Book early as this event will sell out.
Tickets are $144 Wine Club; $160 General Public, plus tax
