Boston Wine School ~ A Night in Spain with Elizabeth Riely
February 10, 2010 (Wed)
from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Allston, MA
Cost: $75
Event ID #283040
Spain is famous for wine, but humble about it. The focus in that part of the world is on the conjunction of wine and food, and this is where Spanish wines — even and especially the humble ones — really shine. Come join Elizabeth Riely, author of The Chef's Companion, for an unforgettable night of food and wine. You'll taste your way all around Spain, from sparkling Cava from the Mediterranean to rich white Albarino grown on the North Atlantic coast. Rioja is a classic, but modern reds that are hot right now like Garnacha will definitely be on the menu, along with many other new and exciting discoveries. Jonathon will be keeping this class on the wine road, and Elizabeth will whip up regional favorites to go along with the wines. It promises to be a great evening of wine and food discoveries from one of the most interesting and food-friendly parts of the wine world.
