Did you know November is Iowa Wine Month? In recognition of the outstanding contributions Iowa’s wine industry has made to the state of Iowa and to the winemaking industry as a whole, Governor Culver signed a proclamation declaring November to be Iowa Wine Industry Month. To help celebrate, Tassel Ridge Winery is pleased to welcome Bob Quinn and Van and Bonnie of WHO Radio back to the Winery on Friday, November 20.

November is also traditionally the month when the first wine of the 2010 season, Nouveau, is bottled and released. Tassel Ridge Winery’s 2009 Iowa Nouveau is a light fruity red wine that pairs well with holiday foods including turkey, ham with cranberry sauce, and roast beef. It is scheduled for release Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. On these dates, guests will be able to compare Tassel Ridge Winery’s 2009 Iowa Nouveau to some of France’s famous Beaujolais Nouveau, and toast the summer past and the cellaring season to come.

On Friday, November 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Bob Quinn’s live remove broadcasts will feature Tassel Ridge Winery’s vineyard, and current winery operations. During their 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. live remote broadcasts, Van and Bonnie will sample Tassel Ridge Winery’s 2009 Iowa Nouveau, Tassel Ridge Winery’s Cranberry Wine, and other wines made at Tassel Ridge Winery. Join Van and Bonnie as they browse the gift shop for ideas on giving the gift of Iowa Wines. Also in the gift shop, along with Tassel Ridge wines, Iowa cheeses and other holiday gift items, including ready made and customized gift baskets are available.
