Please join us this evening from 4-7 pm as we taste some very special wines from the portfolio of Carolina Wine & Spirits - a rare opportunity to taste some iconic wines that consistently garner great press!
Stag's Leap Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon:
Rombauer Chardonnay: smooth, rich, and elegant, true to the Rombauer style. Apple, peach, and tropical fruit flavors weave together in a nice range of flavors that linger on the palate ending with a long, crisp, fruity aftertaste. The oak tones from both barrel fermentation and aging are nicely melded into the flavor and finish of the wine.
Montinore Pinot Noir:This Pinot Noir has a good color, an inviting, aromatic and sweet bouquet of black cherry, light blackberry and coffee notes. The flavors are sweet and multi-layered with red and black cherry and blackberry, finishing with chocolate and coffee characters-all within an earthy frame with light oak and vanilla notes. The wine texture is sweet and rich. The ripe fruity flavors that linger complement the spicy black pepper finish.
Stag's Leap Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon:
Our
Napa Valley collection of wines is crafted with the same approach to
winemaking as our limited-production estate wines, resulting in wines
of supple power and elegance. In fact, fruit from our estate vineyards
provides the stylistic inspiration for this wine. ARTEMIS, named after
the Greek goddess of the hunt, provides a strong link to the origin,
style, and character of our renowned estate wines.
Seghesio Zinfandel: In
1895, Edoardo Seghesio planted his first vineyard in America to
Zinfandel. Today, four generations of grape growers later, half of our
family’s 400 acres of vineyard are planted to Zinfandel. While the BATF
governs most wine labeling, they have no classification for ”Old
Vines.” Our family benchmark is 60 years old and older. The average age
of these vines is 90 years old. These old vines link our family’s trade
from its beginnings to today.
