Historic Tasting Event - Nuovo Vino Festival (New Wine)
December 6, 2009 (Sun)
from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Florence, TX
Cost: $5 for tastings
Event ID #282253
This is a rare, preview tasting of the first wines ever produced from Williamson County. Join us as we celebrate our "Nuovo Vino Festival" (New Wine) and taste the first wines ever produced from The Vineyard at Florence.
Four exquisite wines were made this year by winemaker Dan Gatlin of Inwood Estates Vineyards. Because of their surprising quality at such a young age, we have chosen to offer a "Nuovo" version of two wines: a dark, Shiraz-style red and a floral, creamy Chardonnay-style white. Only 10 cases of each wine will be offered in this one-time "Nuovo" version.
Sure to become an annual event, this Nuovo Vino Festival celebrates new wines, a new winery, a new vineyard and a new county for wine production all in one historic gathering.
