Mount Pleasant is proud to welcome the Bubba Cyclocross Racing Series and Cross Country Running Series to its winery in Augusta. Runners and cyclists will flock to wine country for this incredible event, as Mount Pleasant hosts Bubba #8 in the series. Featuring an exciting blend of mountain bike and road bike racing, Cyclocross has rapidly grown in popularity across the U.S. Cyclists and runners will race through an exciting course with varying terrain, including pavement, grass, steep hills and obstacles. The racers will even cruise right through Mount Pleasant’s historic Crush Lounge. The Bubba Series features six different races. Each race is under an hour. Athletes are allowed to self-select their category based on fitness and competency. The races will be held rain or shine. Cyclocross isn’t just for racers. Spectators are encouraged to come out to the winery, enjoy some fabulous wine and cheer on the athletes. This exhilarating sporting event should not be missed. Wine and food will be available for purchase. Entry fee is $20 for any bicycle races, $10 for the 5K Cross Country Run and $10 for a second race. Registration for all races will be on site at 10 a.m. the day of the races. Admission is free for spectators. The Bubba Cyclocross Racing Series and Cross Country Running Series is sponsored by Big Shark Bicycle Company in St. Louis, Mo.
