Celebrating Thanksgiving is if any an event connected with and committed to enjoy plenty of food and wine. How to cook your Turkey and prepare the amazing array of desserts and appetizers have filled up space in many housewives´ minds and columns in magazines since the Thanksgiving tradition started back in the 18th century.

But how about the wine? The variety and numbers of dishes complicate one single wine to satisfy all components, but there is no reason to drive into despair. Not even the brightest wine connoisseurs can give us a simple adequate answer to the subject. So it leaves us with free hands and a good opportunity to try different styles of wines.

Argentine wine can be a very profitable solution when thinking of how to brace the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Mainly because Argentina offers extremely value for money these years, but also seen from a wine and food perspective we find good matches. The structured and sweet tannic red Malbecs and sweet-sour white wines and sparkling wines are perfect partners to the Turkey and its fixings of cranberry, gravy, sweet potatoes, pumpkin etc.

Estancia Argentina and Anders Mygind will present a handful of candidates for the traditional dinner, Thursday November 19 at the store in Coral Gables. Along the wines to be tasted examples of turkey and other goodies will be served. As usual the portions won’t let anyone leave the event starving.
