Sea Smoke is easily our most sought-after high end California Pinot Noir; we get our allocation every October and are sold out long before the next vintage arrives. Based in the cool Santa Rita Hills appellation in Southern California, Sea Smoke produces intense, extracted Pinot Noirs of great richness, depth, and opulence while still remaining true to the varietal. For this tasting we'll taste two releases from the acclaimed 2007 vintage and also open up a similarly priced Burgundy for comparison purposes. LImited to 12 poeple so everyone can get a healthy 2 oz. pour of each wine. The wines will be:

• Anne Gros 2006 Vosne-Romanee "Les Barraux" ($94.95)
• Sea Smoke 2007 "Southing", Sta. Rita Hills ($74.95)
• Sea Smoke 2007 "Ten", Sta. Rita Hills ($99.95)
  
Cost of the tasting is $30. Seating is 6 p.m. Limited to 12 people. RSVPs are required.
