Great Macaroni & Cheese Bake-Off

The Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula (WOMP) will host 14 area restaurants for the 9th annual Great Macaroni & Cheese Bake-Off on Saturday, November 28 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at all seven participating wineries. Tickets for this highly attended event are on sale now.
Chefs from participating restaurants are challenged to turn the classic comfort food dish of macaroni and cheese into culinary marvels. Each dish will be expertly paired with an Old Mission Peninsula wine and attendees will vote to determine which dish is the Most Unique, Cheesiest, Best With White Wine and People’s Choice.

The 2009 event also debuts the new Great Macaroni & Cheese Bake-Off logo created by Todd Sneed from Mt. Morris, MI. The new logo surpassed more than 20 entries that were submitted in response to the WOMP event’s logo contest. Sneed was awarded a $100 northern Michigan restaurant gift certificate and his work will be used on all 2009 event materials.
Tickets for the Great Macaroni & Cheese Bake-Off are $20 per person and are available at Peninsula Cellars, the Traverse City Convention and Visitors Bureau and www.chateauchantal.com.
