Join us this Saturday between 3 and 6pm when Eric Johnson from Johnson Distributing will be here pouring five stellar selections for you to taste from Napa Valley and Russian River Valley, California:

2007 Mueller Pinot Gris, Russian River Valley
Pale, straw yellow in color. Redolent of mango and melon, this intensely aromatic wine displays ripe apricot and apple on the palate. A pleasing wine from a special Russian River vineyard. Medium bodied with a crisp, clean finish, this is a perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of lighter dishes or on its own.

2008 Venge Champ de Fleurs, Napa Valley
The nose of this wine is driven by the fresh lemon grass scents of Sauvignon Blanc, followed with passion fruit, lemon drop and hints of white peach aromas of Chardonnay and Viognier. The palate is crisp  and delicate and has a considerable amount of body for having so much Sauvignon Blanc in the blend.

2006 JAX Vineyards Y3 Chardonnay, Napa Valley
Aromas of rich, bright fruit dominate the nose with layers of ripe green apple, pineapple, peaches and brown sugar.   The palate reveals a soft and elegant structure with beautiful lines and precise finesse.  Fermented in neutral french oak with 15% malolactic fermentation, this chardonnay is bright and crisp allowing the fruit to shine through.  The fruit is sourced from Oak Knoll District and Atlas Peak, Napa Valley.

2006 Steltzner Claret, Stags Leap, Napa Valley
Core dark fruit aromas of plums and black cherries mingle with lively cola, baking spice and cedar notes. The fruit from the aromas are present in the mouth as well with rich plum and cherry cola flavors being framed by vanilla and light oak. There are nice dry tannins throughout that are well integrated and provide a long satisfying finish. This is a well balanced and supple wine that is meant to be enjoyed upon release but can benefit from some short term cellar aging.  65% Cabernet Sauvignon,  20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot.

2005 Steltzner Estate Cabernet Franc, Stags Leap, Napa Valley
Nice bright red fruit flavors dominate up front giving way to darker notes of blueberries enhanced with oak vanillin and baking spices.  Cases Produced: 785
