Come on out and experience the wines of the Villa San-Juliette
Winery - Where Paso Robles meets American Idol! That's right the owners and
producers of American Idol, Ken Warwick and Nigel Lythgoe are also the owners of
a winery, Villa San-Juliette! Not only are Ken and Nigel the owners they had the sense to hire Adam LaZarre as their Winemaker. Adam was the man behind Hahn Estates Winery in Monterey where was the head winemaker for the past 8 years. Suffice is to say his wines over deliver for the money! So come on out to Hall's this Friday and taste for yourself what I already know, these wines are damn good! Featured Wines: Villa San Juliette Sauvignon Blanc This wine has a good, mid-palate weight, with fresh aromatics and acidity. Citrus and gooseberry aromas are enhanced by lively green grass, a hint of spice and explosions of grapefruit and melon. Villa San Juliette Cabernet Sauvignon Villa San-Juliette winery has put together a superior, intense, dark wine, aged 18 months in French oak. It has rich persistent flavors of blackberry, layered with dark cherry, chocolate and cassis, all supported by smooth velvety tannins. Villa San Juliette Romantique Reserve This superior wine is a classic blend of two noble grapes - Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Matured for two years in French oak, this wine expresses a velvety mouth feel and a bold finish. The aromas displayed suggest that of cocoa, coffee, and rich dark fruits. Romantique is a wine for lovers - and for lovers of wine. Villa San Juliette Chorum The term Chorum is used in the performing arts to denote the 'coming together of a select group of voices'. Chorum is a blend of 68% Shiraz, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, and is aged in new and 1-year-old French oak barrels. Full bodied with deep and forward berry and cherry fruit flavors, the wine has mellow tannins, good acid and hints of dark cocoa, and vanilla Villa San Juliette Petit Sirah We believe the true essence of Paso Robles Sirah is captured in this bottle. Our winemaker jokingly refers to this wine as "blueberry motor oil" to describe the lush, rich, and dense dark fruit flavors. 14 months of aging in new and neutral French oak barrels adds a wonderful mocha layer on the palate. It pairs perfectly with red meats and Cajun-spiced cuisine. |
