EVENT DETAILS:

The always entertaining Dave Becker, chef/owner of Sweet Basil, will be cooking up some classic Tuscan cuisine, while Tim Grace, owner of Il Molino di Grace will show his fabulous wines to pair with each dish.

Menu TBD - 4 courses & 5 wines

Featured wines: Gratius Super Tuscan, Il Margone Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico, Il Volano

The Il Molino wines have been honored with numerous Gold Medals and 5 Star awards from Decanter (the industry's most respected publication), as well as several Tre Bicchieri ratings from the Gambero Rosso (the dominant Italian wine rating panel). Although Il Molino is a relatively new winery, vines have been planted on their property for over 350 years. This is evident in the complexity and depth of each vintage. The Graces are also credited for their sustainable approach to viticulture.

Dave also recently published a cookbook:

Sweet Basil is a whimsically-written, easy-to-follow, gorgeous book, with great foodie anecdotes and spectacular photography.  It will be on sale at the event, and David will be available to sign.  You can also purchase it online.
