LOUIS J. FOPPIANO TO CELEBRATE 99th BIRTHDAY WITH FOUR GENERATIONS OF FOPPIANOS, FRIENDS AND GUESTS

Celebration to Include a Special Tribute, Retrospective Petite Sirah Tasting, Food Pairings, and Meet & Greet with New Winemaker Natalie West

Healdsburg, CA – November 3, 2009 – Foppiano Vineyards, a historic winery located in the celebrated Russian River Valley, announced that a Birthday Extravaganza for Louis J. Foppiano will take place on Saturday, November 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Patriarch and wine industry legend, Louis J. Foppiano, turns 99 this month.  In celebration, four generations of the Foppiano family will open the doors of the family-owned winery to friends, family and guests from the wine industry.

Attendees will be able to step back in time as they enjoy a retrospective tasting of Petite Sirah along with a special tribute to Louis J. at noon.  They will also have a peek into Foppiano’s future as they meet winemaker Natalie West and taste her future releases.  Anyone can be a part of this celebration and tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the winery, or at the winery on the day of the event.  Tickets are $10.00 for wine club members and $20.00 for the public.
