What is Burgoo? A culinary term meaning a stew or thick soup of
multiple meats and a bounty of veggies simmered down for hours and
served at outdoor gatherings in the Southern United States. What is
True Blue Burgoo? It’s Bluemont Vineyard inviting our wonderful “true
blue” regulars, their family and friends to enjoy the bounty of the
season. Bluemont Vineyard is indeed its own Burgoo- a mixture of people
and talent that create that special atmosphere that keeps you coming
back time and again. Our goal is let you meet and greet those people
that we love to rave about. There will be information tables set up for
you to learn more about our partners at Great Country Farms,
Destination Loudoun, and the B&B Guild; our food vendors from
Fields of Athenry, Lothars Gourmet, The Gracious Gourmet, Suzanne’s
Sweets, and Defluri’s Chocolates; and our gift vendors including Laurie
Mosier Pottery, Glenn Fiddich Pottery, The Ya Ya Boutique, and Local
Wood Turners. This will be a zero waste event and will feature Brian
and Cheryl Ash from eCycle Green Collective talking about
sustainability and environmental responsibility. Enjoy the Burgoo!
