Wine OR Wine & Food
This week we invite you to sample wines from Italy and France. This month’s artist of the month is Amanda Fisher, her favorite wines come from these two countries. Come join us on Thursday and meet Amanda and enjoy her art, which will be on display.
This week all attending will be sampling:
Veuve de Vernay – Sparkling wine, Loire Valley, France
A fantastic sparkling wine, perfect for most foods and value-priced for when you have large crowds, we use this to toast all our new artist of the month.
2007 Riff – Pinot Grigio – Venezia, Italy
Aromas of peach, light citrus, and a delight to the palate!
2005 Tandem – Sauvignon Roussanne “vin de pays” France
A delicious blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Roussanne, great for all the Turkey meals to come!
2008 Les Arnevels – Cotes de Provence Rose – Provence, France
Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre, and a touch of Cabernet all grown in Provence, where the grapes pick up nuances of herbs…lovely and a great value too!
2008 Antonio Sanguinetti – Chianti (DOCG), Chianti, Italy
Much more than a traditional Chianti, no basket here. This one is affordable and a very tasty Chianti.
2007 Saint Esprit – Cotes du Rhone, Rhone Valley, France
Delightfull aromas and flavors of black cherries are found in this wine. No oak in this one, light enough for Roasted chicken. A 90 Point winner too!If the content of this posting is questionable, please flag it.
