What is the Crossfire Challenge?

Imagine a team of well-known wine experts zinging tough questions about wine at you - What is the term for adding sugar to wine during fermentation? Pinotage, it’s the crossing of two grape varieties, which two? What is green harvest and why is it done? That's just what hap­pened to the unsuspecting contestants on America’s newest reality TV series The Winemakers.

Now fans of the show can take their own turn in the hot seat as they compete with other local wine geeks across the country.

How Does the Challenge Work?

To take the Crossfire Challenge all you need to do is show up at one of the Crossfire Challenge events – and bring your wine knowledge. You will have three minutes to answer as many questions about wine as you can.

What Will I Win?

The contestants with the three highest scores will win prizes ranging from wine club memberships, a home version of the show, a deluxe version of the Rosetta Stone language learning system or a 3-day VIP trip to California’s central coast wine country.
