Bistro Ten 18, located at 1018 Amsterdam Avenue, is celebrating the annual release of France’s famous Beaujolais Nouveau on Thursday, November 19 with a prix fixe menu that complements the depth and complexity of the wine. The three course menu is offered at $32 per person and will be available through Wednesday, November 25. The Beaujolais Nouveau is $8.50 per glass and $28 per bottle. On the third Thursday of November every year, the Beaujolais Nouveau is released from wineries throughout the Beaujolais region of France. It is a red wine but closer to a white wine in flavor, because it is pressed after only three days and contains no tannins. Served cool, the wine is shipped around the world for quick consumption in a global celebration of its annual appearance. The prix fixe menu designed to complement the Beaujolais Nouveau begins with an Endive and Roquefort Salad, sprinkled with toasted walnuts, poached pear and walnut vinaigrette. The entrée is Boeuf Bourguignon, a traditional French stew with bacon, pearl onions, baby carrots, and mushrooms. For dessert, Tarte Tatin is served, a fresh apple tart, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. About Bistro Ten 18 Bistro Ten 18 is a neighborhood bistro with an eclectic menu in a wide range of prices.
