While brunch is normally a late morning affair, Michigan regulations prohibit alcoholic-beverage sales and service before noon on Sundays, so get along in the a.m. on some toast and coffee, and prepare for an array of 50 or more Champagnes and other sparkling wines I’ve discovered this year that, if I were blindfolded, I’d swear came from the Champagne region. And cost half or less the price! Here is last year’s menu to give you an idea of how sumptuous an affair this will be. This year’s alterations on the theme will be posted on the Village Corner website in a couple of weeks. Assorted Artisanal Breads With olive oil and composed butters Eggs Scrambled With winter mushrooms, robiola, serrano, and pesto Challah French Toast With Ohio bacon and maple syrup Winter Fruit Salad Dressed with fresh lime and wildflower honey Macadamia-Encrusted Salmon Vietnamese Sausage With tropical fruit chutney and maple cream Autumn Fruit Crumble WEBSITE: villagecorner.com |
