Event Details

Wine OR Wine & Food Event

Wine OR Wine & Food

The Santa Maria Valley Wine Country will be celebrating the holiday

season with their “Wine Christmas” Passport featuring eleven local wineries during the weekend of

December 5th and 6th. The passport includes both large and boutique wineries. In addition to wine tasting,

each winery will feature Christmas décor, music, and the winning cookie and wine pairing recipes from

each winery. Tasting rooms will be open 11am (or earlier) until close for wine tasting both days.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online for $30 and include a Riedel glass, a passport program, and

wine tasting at all participating wineries. Passports can be picked up at Costa de Oro in Santa Maria or The

Bench in Los Olivos. A limited number of tickets will be available for $35 in cash at both pickup locations

throughout the weekend. A percentage of the proceeds will support the Marian Foundation and

Blochman Union School District.

The “Wine Christmas” Passport offers an affordable wine experience, offering huge savings with the

purchase of a ticket compared to visiting each winery separately. Wineries will be offering special savings

for the holidays—just in time to buy holiday gifts for family and friends. As an additional incentive, for every

two bottles of wine purchased by a passport attendee, they will receive a raffle ticket with a chance to win

several prizes.

For those visitors attending the passport, special lodging rates are available at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Best

Western Big America, The Historic Santa Maria Inn and Radisson hotels. Touring and transportation

operators Breakaway Tours and Classic Motoring Car Rentals will also offer

special rates for passport participants. Mention the code SMVWINES at any of the above businesses for

your discount.
