To Be Tasted:
2008 Hirsch Vineyards Bohan-Dillon Pinot Noir

A full-bodied, sexy wine that compares favorably to Pinots many times its price. Restrained spice notes, with hints of leather, earth, & raspberry. Rich flavors of plum and ripe berry evolve to a silken mid-palate. David Hirsch has made a delicious '08 which shows great finesse.
2007 Hirsch Vineyards "M" Pinot Noir
"Firm and spicy, with a core of blackberry, sour berry and wild berry flavors, with anise- and sage-laced earth notes. Full-bodied, with tight acidity and tannins. Drink now through 2014. 570 cases made." -WS

One of the pioneers of the now famous Sonoma Coast, David Hirsch arrived in the late 1970s and planted his first grapes in 1980.  Currently, the vineyard has 47 plus producing acres planted mainly to Pinot Noir.  His vineyard quickly gained a great reputation as the fruit source for wineries including Faillia, Siduri, Flowers, Kistler, and William Selyem.  After 22 years of supplying Pinot Noir to many of the state's best wines, Hirsch decided to try his hand at creating wines from his own vineyard.  So, in 2002 winemaker Vanessa Wong, who had been working at a neighborhood winery called Peter Michael, came over to help David turn his grapes into bottles of wine.
