The Leslie Family Children’s Foundation is teaming up with VINO 100 St. Petersburg for a very special wine tasting event on Thursday, November 12, from 6 to 8 pm at VINO 100 St. Pete, located at 5056 Fourth Street North, St. Petersburg.

Started by Robert and Patty Leslie, the Foundation was designed to aide children aging out of the foster care system in the Tampa Bay area.  Their hope is to build a transitional living facility to provide affordable housing for these young adults while they map out their future.  Their goal is to provide a support network that will include a Life Coach, Counselors, Parenting Programs, Mentoring and many more skills needed to provide guidance to these young people in becoming a productive member of society.   More information about the Leslie Family Children’s Foundation may be found by visiting their website at www.lfcfoundation.org or calling the Foundation at 727-239-7171.

The cost of this event is $10 per person.  A pre-holiday raffle will be held along with a sampling of wines from VINO 100 St. Pete and a selection of hors d'oeuvres.  VINO 100 St. Pete will donate 10% of the evening’s proceeds to the Foundation.  Registration for the wine tasting may be made by sending payment directly to the Foundation at LFCF, PO Box 2212, Dunedin, Florida 34697-2212.

VINO 100 St. Petersburg is a unique wine buying concept that features “100 great wines for $25 or less” and arranges wine in the store as they would be set up for a wine tasting event, from light whites to full-bodied reds.  Special- themed free wine tasting events open to the public are offered throughout every month. In addition, VINO 100 St. Petersburg offers wine-themed gifts for all wine enthusiasts, as well as a wide variety of cigars.

VINO 100 St. Petersburg is located at 5056 Fourth Street, North (between 50th and 52nd Avenues North) in the Royal Palms on 4th Shopping Center which also features Talbots and the new location of Bonefish Grill. It is open Monday 12 pm – 6 pm, Tuesday - Saturday 11 am – 7 pm and Sunday noon – 5 pm.
