If you enjoy wine, and an evening of Sicilian food, art and live performance sounds like fun to you, then join us for a truly one-of-a-kind event! We have commissioned 35 Sicilian artists to create 70 unique wine labels
exclusively for our event featuring Sicilian wines and food. Each label represents an original
work of art to enrich your art collection, your wine cellar, and your
life.
The food and wine tasting is designed and planned by Vanvakys Art International in collaboration with wine experts and gourmet food sponsors. Delicious Sicilian cuisine is offered to all guests and includes a taste of either red or white wine for each savory course.
We'll see you at the "Sweet and Sour" Closing Party this Tuesday, October 27th, featuring Live Flamenco Performances, Sicilian delicacies and much more!
Also included in Tuesday's event:
- Eye on the Earth: special exhibit by world-famous Sicilian painter, Gilda Gubiotti
- Haute Couture display and raffle by Ignazio Bissoli
- Sweet and Sour "agrodolce" specialty dishes (savory) provided by Scopello Ristorante and Bar;
Dessert Assortment provided by Villabate-Alba Pasticceria
The Silent Auction
Sponsors and guests will have the opportunity to admire the artistic labels on display in the Sculpture Court throughout the event, and online.
How To Participate
Bids will be accepted at the event, via telephone and by email, and collected in a central directory. The auction will end on 27th October, 2009 at The National Arts Club at 11 o' clock PM. In order to take part in the auction, bidders will complete a bidding form and provide personal contact information in order to ensure adherence to bid amounts and fairness to all. Bidders will indicate the number corresponding to their label(s) of choice, as well as their offer ($100 USD minimum). Bidding forms can be found online or in paper form at the National Arts Club during the reception dates. Please check the website for regular auction standings and updates.
Auction participation is strictly optional for all guests.
Enjoy "Art in a Bottle" and know that you are contributing to a very important cause: a percentage of proceeds will benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society New York City Chapter.
