When you hear the word 'comfort' what does it mean to you? Well according to Webster's II New Riverside Dictionary Revised Edition the definition of 'comfort is:
comfort (küm’f?rt)
v. To console in time of fear or grief. n. 1. A state of ease or well-being. 2. Solace. 3. Help: assistance. 4. One that brings relief or well-being. 5. Capacity to give physical ease.
So when you hear 'comfort wine' what comes to mind? Is this the wine that you drink when you need to unwind; when you are enjoying your favorite meal; do you bring a bottle to a party or savor a glass relaxing after dinner with a good book or with friends? Is it from the east coast, west coast or somewhere in between? Is it a sparkling wine or a white or red wine? Well whatever it is we are calling them our 'comfort wines'.
Please join us as we share with you our favorite 'comfort' wines. All wines featured will be produced and bottled in the United States. We will pair our 'comfort wines' with a wonderful selection of 'comfort' foods.
