Savor Dallas, An International Experience of Wine, Food, Spirits and the Arts, is dedicated to showcasing the finest chefs in Dallas-Fort Worth, the world's best beverages, and the renaissance of Downtown Dallas, especially the Arts District, Dallas Farmer’s Market and the newly renovated Sheraton Dallas.
Tickets for all events go on sale October 1st and will be offered with special pricing on advance purchase tickets through December 31, 2009. For a complete schedule, go to www.savordallas.com or call 888-728-6747. A portion of the proceeds benefits the North Texas Food Bank and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Savor Dallas also funds a scholarship for a deserving chef to attend culinary school, which is administered through the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association.
Friday, March 5 Savor Dallas Arts District Wine Stroll 5 – 8 pm Wine and food tasting in the beautiful Dallas Museum of Art - Seventeen Seventeen Restaurant; Meyerson Symphony Center; Nasher Sculpture Center; Winspear Opera House; and Wyly Theatre (from 5-7pm); plus wine, food, music, and art in the exciting new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Park, featuring the restaurants of One Arts Plaza: Dali Wine Bar, Fedora Restaurant and Lounge, Jorge's, Screen Door, and Tei-An (5-8pm).
Saturday, March 6: all events are held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel Wine and Spirits Tasting Seminars: 11:00 am–4:00 pm: Ballrooms, TBD Reserve Tasting: 5:00pm-6:30pm: Chaparral Club, 37th Floor Sample premium wines and spirits priced over $50 retail. Attendance is limited. International Grand Tasting 7:00pm – 10:00pm: Lone Star Ballroom Over 60 of Dallas-Fort Worth's top chefs serving samples of their cuisine and more than 400 premium wines, spirits and imported beers available for tasting.
Sunday, March 7: 1:00pm-4pm: Dallas Farmer's Market Sunday FunDay at the Dallas Farmers Market", a family afternoon featuring chef cooking demos, "Kids Teaching Kids" about quick and nutritious snacks, food sampling and more. A culinary benefit for the North Texas Food Bank. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Food Bank.
