Solea Turns 8 with A Special Six-Course Wine Dinner Thursday, November 5, 2009 7:00pm $75 All Inclusive The menu is as follows: Passed Pintxos: Oysters with Cava Cream - Pleasant Bay Oysters served on the half shell with a Cava cream. Sweet Potato and American Corn Croquettes - Panko bread crumbs encrusted croquettes served with a Nevat cheese and fresh sage Parisienne sauce. Truffled Albondigas - Black truffle lamb meatballs with sherry-foie gras cream sauce. BBQ Wings of Quail - Sweet, spicy, and citric BBQ sauce over quail wings and legs on a bed of rainbow micro greens. Naveran, Brut Reserva Cava (Penedes, Spain) Dinner: Maine Lobster Crepe - Savory chervil crepe filled with potato, baby spinach, leek, shallots, and lobster. Roasted garlic rubbed Maine lobster tail tops the dish along with Pil Pil sauce garnish and Crème fraîche. Hermanos del Villar, "Ipsum" Verdejo/Viura (Rueda, Spain) Confit Pork - Marinated pork shank confit. Served with a rosemary-browned butter applesauce, Catalan escarole, and garnished with fresh Chicharrones. La Posta, "Cocina" Bonarda/Malbec/Syrah (Argentina) Roasted Quail Breast - Roasted Quail breasts painted with a Multi-grain mustard served over Chanterelle and Royal black trumpet mushroom polenta, baby red beets and hard-boiled Quail egg. Bodegas Matarredonda "Juan Rojo" Tempranillo (Toro, Spain) Wrapped Rabbit Loin - Rabbit loin wrapped in aged Jamon Serrano. Accompanied by a chicory, watercress, and Valencia Orange salad. Garnished with Idiazabal Cheese and red pearl onion skewer. Ben Marco, Cabernet Sauvignon (Argentina) Dessert: Queijadas - Portuguese egg custard tartlets topped with an apricot and fig jam, served with a wedge of Membrillo quince paste.
