A Taste of Redwood Valley's 7th Annual Holiday Wine Sale and Juried Artisan Faire Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21-22 (weekend before Thanksgiving), 10-5 pm. Live Music • Light Fare and Holiday Cookies • Fine Arts and Crafts • Friends and Merriment • New Releases A Taste of Redwood Valley invites old friends and new to join us for our 7th annual Holiday Wine Sale and Juried Artisan Faire. Our deep discounts of up to 40% on fine wines and the best brandy in the world will make it easy for you to stock up for the holidays. This small-valley community celebration will ring with laughter and live music as our visitors enjoy the aroma of holiday cookies and browse one-of-a-kind arts and crafts by Mendocino's talented artists. Most of the nine wineries and the distillery will have artisans on hand displaying their wares, and Barra of Mendocino will host its 5th annual Juried Artisan Faire with designer jewelry, fine pottery, unique wood products, hand-decorated gourds, watercolor and oil paintings, and more. Redwood Valley, where United States organic wine production originated, is the northernmost grape-growing micro-region in Mendocino County and boasts more organic acreage than any other appellation in California. All but two of our wineries are too small to keep regular tasting room hours, so this is a rare opportunity to catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our small producers. Take Hwy 101 north of Ukiah to West Road (exit #557), show up at any participating winery, and get a map to all the others. Some are close to 101 and others are tucked deep in the lovely valley. The wineries participating in the Holiday Wine Sale are Frey Vineyards, Oster Wine Cellars, Cole Bailey, Giuseppe Wines/Neese Vineyards, Graziano Family of Wines (Sat. only), Barra of Mendocino, Lolonis/Ladybug Winery, Oracle Oaks Winery, and Silversmith Vineyards. The distillery, which will be pouring brandy and other hand-crafted spirits, is Germain-Robin/Craft Distillers. |
