Whoop Whoop:
"The Galvanized Wine Group is a mob of Aussies with plenty of passion and stand-out brands. The Group brings together Australian wines crafted at our winery, McLaren Vintners by the talented winemaker, Ben Riggs, with owners, managers, staff and stakeholders all getting in on the act.
Under his own Mr. Riggs label - "making the wines I love" - Ben takes grapes from his family's "Piebald Gully Vineyard" -and only from other plots considered to be crackerjack!
Penny's Hill - "Proudly Australian. More so McLaren Vale" are wines from Parky's dirt where high performance vineyards make for some real bonza wines.
Other brands within the Galvanized Wine Group's stable include the Woop Woops. Wines that punch above their weight. Like the newy on the block, "Big Woop!" where you'll get more bang for yer buck! Wines they reckon are "out there from out there".
Plus, straight from the chook house, comes its fine feathered friend, "The Black Chook", or in USA, "The Chook" - these are "wines of character" which strut their stuff!

"From fresh, fragrant fruit, wonderful tropical notes combine with bright citrus and mineral characters to create a deliciously flavoursome and refreshing Woop Woop Verdelho from Vintage 2009.
Consistent with previous vintages, winemaker Ben Riggs has created a bright, aromatic
wine, fruit-driven with crisp natural acidity, and well balanced palate. It will compliment a
wide variety of foods, matching particularly well with seafood, salads or spicy Asian cuisine.

"From delicious, crisp stone fruits combined with hints of lemon blossom and skins of lime, Woop Woop Chardonnay from Vintage 2008 is a medium-bodied, richly fruity, dry wine suited to consumption over the next year or so.
Tank fermented with minimal lees contact, this classy unwooded refresher shows distinctive aromatics and a well-balanced palate. Made with much enthusiasm by winemaker, Ben Riggs and his team, Woop Woop Chardonnay will compliment a wide variety of meal choices, especially those with an ocean association."

"Langhorne Creek, on fine, deep and fertile soils, is one of Australia's oldest and most significant wine regions. A well-regarded red growing area, Langhorne Creek characteristically produces Shiraz that is spicy, elegant and full of flavour.
Winemaker, Ben Riggs and his team enthused as the fruits of their labour evolved into a full-bodied and flavoursome wine, deep-hued with richly scented aromatics and a long, soft and juicy palate. Of lush mouthfeel, bursting with blackberry, blueberry jam and liquorice, this wine guarantees a true Australian Shiraz experience for consumption over the next 5 years."
