In this series of exotic fare from around the world, Professionals in the City invites you to cooking demonstrations of palate-pleasing cuisine, exquisitely prepared and presented by the country's finest chefs. Each event in this series is independent with a different renowned chef. You need not attend them all. As an extra, you will not only eat the lavish meal prepared, but you will be provided with written recipes for this meal. Learn the techniques for making authentic Neapolitan Pizza! While researching products and techniques for making the best pizza, Oro Pomodoro’s owners, Savino Recine and Biago Cepollaro became very good friends with Gaetano Esposito who is the most knowledgeable pizza maker in the world right now. Gaetano also personally trained his nephew, Enzo Esposito. Enzo is now their pizza maker. Enzo learned from his Uncle that the process of fermentation of the dough has to happen before it is cooked, not after, making the crust lighter. Pizza must be flavorful, yet very light. Enzo learned this philosophy so well that his Uncle nicknamed him “the Boy with the Golden Hands”, hence the name of the restaurant, Oro Pomodoro. Enzo will teach you how to make 4 different kinds of Neapolitan pizzas. You’ll find that the dough is softer and moist while at the same time full of delicious flavors. Enjoy a 5-course tasting menu after the class which includes homemade tiramisu flavored with Limoncello liquor. Recipes included. Oro Pomodoro is the dream of Savino Recine and Biago Cepollaro. Savino is one of the most innovative Italian restauranteurs in the Washington Metropolitan area, known for Primi Piatti, Provence,Coco Loco, and Finemondo. Biagio is a renowned cheese maker from Naples, Italy. Together they bring their vision of offering you delicious true and authentic Neapolitan pizza right here in Rockville, MD!
