News reports in recent months have heralded a new spirit of congeniality between France and the United States. Even Presidents Sarkozy and Obama, after a chilly start, seem to have developed a degree of mutual respect. We don’t know if Cyndi and Mason Cobb, innkeepers at the Colby Hill Inn in Henniker, were inspired by this thawing of relations as they planned their spectacular wine dinner scheduled for 4:30pm on Sunday, November 8, but their pairing of New England-inspired cuisine with a superb selection of Estate Bottled French wines is the perfect blending of French and American culinary cultures. The Cobbs and Colby Hill Inn Head Chef Cory Fletcher have created an extraordinary five-course menu for the evening and have collaborated with Colline Dreyfuss of the Perfecta Wine Company to select the perfect wine accompaniment for each course. |
