The second Sunday of every month, the owners of The Strand and the Shorebreak Hotel/Zimzala Restaurant in downtown Huntington Beach host a Wine/Food/Entertainment and Art Auction benefiting a regional charity.  The cost is $10 per person and for November that $10 goes directly to fund THINK Together's after-school programs.  Proceeds from a raffle and art auction also go directly to THINK Together.

THINK Together is the largest non-profit provider of academically focused after-school programs in California, serving 35,000 kids throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.  The program was founded in the low-income Shalimar neighborhood of Costa Mesa in response to a gang-related shooting.  THINK Together's learning programs are designed to help close the academic achievement gap that has California's civic and economic future in peril.  The programs have proven to help students stay in school, go to college, achieve their true individual potential and become productive citizens.

THINK is an acronym that stands for Teaching, Helping, Inspiring & Nurturing Kids.  THINK Together, the next generation of after-school.

This award-winning after-school program costs THINK Together $10 per student, per day; $50 per week; or $1,800 per year.

Your $10 contribution from this event will go directly to support a student because The Strand along with the Shorebreak Hotel & Zimzala Restaurant are underwriting the costs of this Wine/Food/Entertainment Event.  And all proceeds from a raffle and art auction will also go directly to support students in THINK Together's after-school programs too.
