Bistro Ten 18, 1018 Amsterdam Avenue, will be featured in the Market-to-Table Tour sponsored by 97th Street Greenmarket on Friday, October 16. Craig Skiptunis, owner and chef of the restaurant, will divulge his sources for the fresh, local ingredients in their weekly specials. The event will end with a three course lunch at the restaurant, using ingredients purchased during the tour.
Skiptunis will begin the market tour at 10:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at
Bistro Ten 18 from noon until 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available through the Greenmarket at www.brownpapertickets.com for $50. All proceeds will benefit Greenmarket’s Youth Education Project, a program that teaches elementary and middle school children the importance of eating fresh, seasonal food and educates them on local agricultural processes.
