Bistro Ten 18, 1018 Amsterdam Avenue, is hosting a beer tasting on Monday, October 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. in its sidewalk dining area. The tasting will feature twelve beers from around the world, and German specialties, including knackwurst, bratwurst, sauerkraut and German potato salad, will be served with assorted mustards.
Craig Skiptunis, owner of Bistro Ten 18, will explain how brewing techniques and ingredients affect the taste of the beer and explore the differences between ale and lager. Some of the featured ales include Bosteels Tripel Karmeliet and Delirium Tremens from Belgium and Hobgoblin from England. The event is intended to appeal to everyone, with any level of beer knowledge. The cost is $20
per person.
