      Completely objective education; no promotion involved. Fifteen world-class wines selected to illustrate points from the lecture: quality levels and district signatures in Burgundy; soil differences in Oregon; effect of wind and elevation in CA; clonal variation in NZ. Extensive slides and handouts. Bread, cheese, and a couple food pairs. Instructor wrote The Oxford Companion to Wines of North America. Everybody has a good time.
