The “Exploring Grape Varieties” series of workshops caters to those who have discovered a passion for wine, but want to expand their knowledge beyond the traditional noble grape varieties. Hosted at the Fine Wine Reserve's elegant tasting room, join David Calado, Global Wine Tour’s Wine Education Director, as he takes you on a visual presentation together with a flight of 8 very different wines focusing on non-noble grape varieties. Some examples of these would include Malbec, Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, Torrontes, Viognier, Nero D’Avola, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Franc. There are numerous grape varieties used throughout the world, and many of them are native to only certain countries. Many of these varietals make wonderful wines, and Global Wine Tour wants to introduce these to you to expand your love of wine as well as your knowledge of the subject! Many wine afficionados are stuck in the Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Riesling, and Chardonnay box when it comes to making wine choices. Global Wine Tour wants to take you out of this box you’ve painted yourself into, and open you up to a whole world of wonderful wine waiting for you to discover! This series of workshops will begin at 7PM and will last for approximately 2-3 hours. The registration fee includes:
