“Local Harvest Winemaker’s Dinner" 

- at Bistro 39 a the Hilton Garden Inn, San Diego/ Del Mar 

- November 6, 2009 

- 7:00 pm.  

Only locally grown (and caught) fish, poultry, and meats, along with farm fresh vegetables picked the day of the dinner from Chino Farms will be featured at the winemaker’s dinner.  All the featured wines are traditionally hand-crafted wines from Salerno Winery in the Ramona Valley.

Course one: Chardonnay- Sauvignon Blanc, “Bianco Tosto 2007,”  &  grilled swordfish taco station.

Course two:  “Barbera 2006 Paso Robles,”  &  barbecue, free range chicken. 

Course three: “Piont Noir 2006,”  &  organic quail, stuffed with chestnuts and mushrooms, in a reduction of the featured wine.

Course four:  Petite Sirah 2005 Paso Robles,  & braised beef short ribs. The ribs are slow cooked in the Sirah until fork tender.

Course five:  Temptation (literally and figuratively), a full bodied, port-style wine with a balance of fruit and raisin flavors  &  a silky pear and almond tart.
