Wine OR Wine & Food
After some research on the history of Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, I found that it really is just an excuse to annually get together to eat, drink, and be merry. OK, OK, there is a little more history involved, but what it is today, and has been for the past 100 years or so, is a time to come together to enjoy local foods and local drinks. Well, that's what we're going to do with it, as well. This supper will be deconstructing German food to revolve around our local bounty and food shed. And instead of pouring beer down our throats, we are offering a more delicate approach with a German-style wine pairing. People are still raving about all of the wines from our last Sunday Supper.
The price of this prix-fixe dinner is $55 and wine pairing (mostly
local wines) offered for an additional $30. A cash bar will also be
available for you to purchase wine a la carte.
The evening will start with bubbles and passed appetizers followed by the 5-course feast.
