Germany is the source of
the world's most elegant and aromatically pure white wines. Most of the finest vineyards in Germany are located
on dramatic, steep vineyards overlooking rivers where mechanization is
impossible and a lot of manual labor is needed to produce the wine. We will
explore how and why these difficult terroirs produce such delicate yet fascinating wines while we visit the major regions with our resident German
expert Yannick Benjamin. Here's what we'll be tasting.... Mosel Reinhard Knebel Winniger Bruckstuck Spatlese Feinherb 2007 C.H. Berres Urziger Wurzgarten Auslese 1998 S.A. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Eiswein 2001Rheingau Peter Jakob Kuhn Riesling Trocken 2007 Leitz Rudesheimer Klosterlay Riesling Kabinett 2008 Nahe Schlossgut Diel Burg Layen Schloosberg Trocken Grosse Gewachs 2007 Pfalz Biffar Deidesheimer Kieselberg Auslese 1998 Rheinhessen Wittman Wittman Riesling Trocken Westhofen Mortein Rheinhessen 2006 |
