Each week the Ritual Tavern taps into a new firkin for your pleasure.*  This week we're extremely excited to be serving a rare, once a year release from local favorites AleSmith.

"AleSmith is pleased to announce the return of Evil Dead Red, just in time for Halloween! EDR is a heavily hopped American Red Ale with a rich, caramel, malty backbone and distinctly evil mahogany color. Weighing in at 6.66% abv, it’s the perfect beer to sip while day-dreaming of your next Halloween costume"

This style of beer is perfect for cask conditioning! While in the cask, the natural yeast and sugar create carbonation naturally without the need of added CO2. Cask Ale also pairs well with locally farmed, fresh shucked oysters from Carlsbad Aqua Farm.  We know you'll soon partake in locally made craft beer and locally farmed/farmers market/house-made dinner at the Ritual.

Whether you are looking for Chemical-free, Gluten-free, HFCS-free, Sustainable, Ethically raised, Vegan, Vegetarian fare, the Ritual is your home cooked meal away from home :-)

Happy Hour Daily 5:30 - 7:30pm Tues-Sat and 3:30 - 9:30 Sun
$3.50 Tap Beer and $1 off select glasses of wine

Niman Ranch Meats, local organic vegetables, cured meats,  shellfish, artisan bread; domestically raised catfish, everything else made in-house (ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, pickles , french fries, stews, soups, desserts)

What is a firkin? Historically it's an English unit of capacity, equal to 9 imperial gallons (8.5 American gallons) or a small wooden keg. It's also the name of the vessel cask ale is conditioned and served from.
