Honig has been growing grapes since the 1960's when the now owner Michael's Grandfather Louis bought a prune ranch and decided to plant grapes. They only grow Sav Blanc and Cabernet.  In the 1980's they decided to make wine and now have two levels of Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc.  The Sauvignon Blancs are the Napa Valley version and the more specific single vineyard Rutherford version.  The Cabernet is a Napa Valley version. The Spring Mountain, Bartolucci Vineyard, a single vineyard Cabernet, is their Flagship.
Michael and Stephanie's wines have been a fixture at Wolfe's Wine Shoppe since we opened.
Their wine continues to embody what Wolfe's stands for, small family growers that are all about the wine, the community, and the world.  The day that both the Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon are not in the shoppe will be a cold day in hell.  They were earth friendly before it was cool to be green with their bee's, solar energy, sniffer dogs, bats, hawks and owls.
Their vision is that of what a family should stand for, and we dig them for that.
