Come by Khoury's Fine WIne to meet Mike Stewart who is the owner of Napa Wineries Stewart Cellars, Hollis, and Slingshot Winery. If you are among the people who have a common urge to find wines that are in the $20-65 range that drink like wines far exceeding those price points. There is something to be said about the wines we are offering. Mike has winemaking legend Paul Hobbs as his winemaker on both the Stewart and Hollis wines

If you are among the people who have a common urge to find wines that are in the $20-65 range that drink like wines far exceeding those price points. 2005 Stewart Cabernet
92 Points Robert Parker-The dark ruby/purple-tinged 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals sweet creme de cassis notes interwoven with notions of smoke, toast, licorice, and loamy soil. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, with pure fruit, a multilayered mouthfeel, and an elegant, velvety finish. It should drink well for 10-15 years. This high-class operation boasts Paul Hobbs as its consulting winemaker. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes primarily from the Stagecoach Vineyard in the eastern hills of Oakville, just below the famed Pritchard Hill, and some from the Beckstoffer vineyards
2006 Stewart Pinot Noir
91 Points Robert Parker-Stewart’s Pinot Noir, which comes from the Gibson Vineyard in Russian River, exhibits a deep ruby/plum color as well as sweet aromas of cola, root vegetables, black cherries, and currants, supple tannins, and a velvety, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel with a hint of forest floor. This complex Pinot is best consumed over the next 3-4 years
2006 Hollis Cabernet Sauvignon
Hollis is 100% Cabernet from the esteemed State Lane Vineyard (quick reminder, this vineyard in Oak Knoll was a choice vineyard site for Beringer for years, and now it makes up the lion’s share of Kapcsandy). When winemaker Paul Hobbs was finalizing the blend for Stewart, he decided that the Stagecoach Vineyard & Beckstoffer Vineyards fruit made the ideal blend. So, James was left with a gorgeous lot of State Lane fruit that he didn’t want to blend into the Stewart as it was solid all on its own. The absolute kicker was the price: $35 a bottle
2006 Slingshot Cabernet
Stephen Test, former winemaker at Merryvale, makes this wine from three vineyard sites located in various sub-appellations of Napa Valley. Aged in 30% new French oak for 22 mont hs this wine is laced in oak but not mired in it. Expressing lively flavors of blueberry, cigar smoke, vanilla and plum this is delicious now. No excessive aging needed here just pop the cork and enjoy
2006 Slingshot Sauvignon Blanc
Sourced from grapes grown near our Juliana Vineyard, this wine is characterized by slight floral and melon notes typical of ripe Sauvignon Blanc. The blend includes Semillon, which contributes hints of fig to the flavor and a feeling of richness in the mouth. Partial fermentation in French oak barrels brings the wine complexity and a touch of vanilla
