Appetizers for Wine Dinner:

Assorted Gourmet Cheese, Meats, Fruit, Nuts, Crackers & Toast Points

Creamy Mushroom Dip, Hummus & Toasted Pita

1st Course:

Crab Stuffed Shrimp

Cape Rock Sparkling White, Robertson, South Africa

Whiffs of Peach, grass and tropical fruit. Succulent – A fruity harmoniously blended wine with a “just dry” finish.

2nd Course:

                                                Pear & Arugula Salad                       hearts of palm, dressed with pomogrante vinaigrette                                  topped with shaved parmesan cheese

Herons Nest Chardonnay, Western Cape, South Africa

Medium bodied with fresh fruity flavours – lime, grapefruit and citrus well integrated with  French oak vanilla flavours on the nose. Light yellow with a hint of green

Main Course:

Pork Tenderloin medallions sautéed in a Portobello mushroom red wine reduction sauce served with portobello mushrooms and goat cheese polenta croutons

Clos Malverne Auret 2006, Stellenbosch, South Africa

The flagship of their range! A unique, full -bodied red blend, with Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon, South Africa's own cultivar.

Pleasantly dry tannins, spicy with underlying fruit (ripe berries).

Dessert:

Homemade Deep Dish Apple Pie served a la mode finished with warm caramel sauce

Mooiuitzicht Tawny Port
A full bodied Port with hints of full ripe blackberries and cooked prunes with
sumptuous, sweet overtones in harmony with a lingering, fruity aftertaste. Wood matured.
