Tour of Elk Mountain Vineyards

Award-winning Percheron draft horses that are used in helping to work the organic vineyards will be hitched to wagons that will load up in front of the Wine Studio in Upper Lake, travel up Main Street and Elk Mountain Road to tour the vineyards planted with Sauvignon Blanc grapes and the four traditional grapes used to make Port wines.  The horses will convey the passengers back to the Wine Studio at the conclusion of the tour and visit.

In addition to the tour, the event includes refreshments and wine tasting from a select number of boutique wineries/winemakers of Lake County, including Sauvignon Blanc from the Elk Mountain Vineyards [Atascadero Creek Winery], Zoom Wines, Bell Hill Vineyards, Obsidian Ridge, Big Valley, Sparkling Pear wine from Mt. Konocti Growers and Cuveé Rouge from Dusinberre Cellars.

A second admission price option is available at $50 per person, which includes a light autumn dinner of harvest salad, squash soup and crusty French bread prepared by Mark Linback, Chef at the Blue Wing Saloon, and will finish with a sweet treat.
