Thursday (9/24/09) 6-8pm at Khoury’s on S. Eastern

Brassfield Estate Winery is located on the in High Valley just North of Napa Valley. In 2005, Brassfield’s owner Jerry Brassfield was the driving force behind establishing AVA status for the High Valley  region.  Brassfield’s philosophy is to control the entire winemaking process, from begining to end.  This means that all the wines qualify to be called Eastate grown meaning they own/contol the grapes from when they were picked to when the wine was bottled.  Brassfield also has anthother trip up their sleave.  They have world famous winemaker David Ramey as their consulting Winemaker. David is considered by many to be a pioneer and trendsetter in the California wine industry. His red wines are known for being lush, ripe and extremely well balanced. His white wines are loved for being fresh, bright and elegant. David began his winemaking career at the esteemed Château Pétrus followed by stints as winemaker at Chalk Hill, Matanzas Creek,

Dominus and most recently at Rudd Estate. David owns his own winery, Ramey Wine Cellars in Healdsburg, CA as well as consults with some of the leading producers in California.

The best part is the wines all retail for under $20, continuing Brassfields philosophy of ”over delivering” while competing with the best from Napa Valley.
