OntarioWineReview's Great Gewurztraminer Challenge - Night 1, Monday November 9, 2009
November 9, 2009 (Mon)
from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Toronto, Ontario
Cost: $40 per person / per night
Event ID #272088
OntarioWineReview is at it again – this time Gewurztraminer takes center stage in our Great Gewurztraminer Challenge.
For three nights in November, we’ll congregate at Campbell House Museum in downtown Toronto, we'll taste over 30 different Gewurztraminers from 28 Ontario wineries.
Each night, we’ll taste approximately 10 different Gewurztraminers blind (you’ll know they’re the G-Wine, but that’s about it). Then, each taster will decide, based on a scale from 1 to 10, the following criteria: 1) Do you like it? 2) Would you buy it? 3) Is it good value? Specials guests will come in to talk about Gewurztraminer and why it is one of their favourite grapes; and, of course, it will be hosted by the Grape Guy himself, Michael Pinkus. Most importantly, your votes and feedback will determine Ontario's Best Gewurztraminer.
Afterward we’ll mix and mingle for coffee and dessert around a cozy fire … featuring some special bottles of wine from Ontario and plenty more … details are always being added so keep checking the website for more – or if we had you at "Gewurztraminer", buy your tickets now.
This event Happens over the course of the following three nights with different wines being poured each night:
